"I’m very happy with my hair and with the final result overall. The staff were also very kind and welcoming, and the salon is clearly professional and skilled at what they do. However, I had a very disappointing experience regarding the pricing transparency. At the very beginning of the appointment, the stylist asked if she could apply a cream/treatment to my hair and scalp. Naturally, I agreed, because at no point was it mentioned — not even once — that this would cost extra, let alone €50. The treatment itself lasted around 5–6 minutes, and only a very small amount of product was used. I completely understand that additional treatments can cost extra, and that is perfectly normal. The problem is that customers should be informed about those costs beforehand. Instead, I only found out at the cashier that I was being charged an additional €50 for this one product. The advertised online price for the wash, cut, and blow-dry was €33, which is exactly why I chose this salon in the first place, because it seemed like a very good value for money. In the end, I paid €83 total — more than double the expected amount — for a very simple haircut where only 3–4 cm was trimmed. While I am satisfied with the haircut itself, it was not a particularly complex service, so the final bill came as a genuine shock. What upset me is not the professionalism or the quality of the work, because both were good. The issue is the lack of transparency. There was no warning, no price list shown, and no indication that this quick treatment would dramatically increase the final cost. As a student, this honestly felt extremely unfair and financially uncomfortable. I also don’t think the solution is to invite disappointed customers back afterward for compensation or corrections. The real solution would simply be clear communication upfront: tell customers the exact price before applying additional products or treatments, so they can make an informed decision and either agree or politely decline. The salon has the talent and professionalism to provide a great experience, which is why this lack of transparency is so disappointing. Unfortunately, an unexpected final bill like this can completely overshadow an otherwise positive visit!! P.S. Please do not expect customers to immediately complain or confront the staff on the spot in situations like this. Most people are simply shocked and uncomfortable in the moment, especially when they are suddenly presented with a bill that is far higher than expected. Many customers will stay polite, pay, and only process the situation afterward — that does not mean the experience felt fair or transparent."
